After a successful 2009 Championship and with an average of 32 MX-5's on the grid, Ma5da Racing have already received over 35 registrations for the 2010 Championship. The "Ma5da MX5 Championship" is the only Mazda MX-5, single class Championship in the UK.
"Driving the Change, Making the Difference"
The Ma5da MX5 Championship now has over 120 eligible cars with many drivers returning for 2010, including Jonathan Greensmith, Tom Roche, Robert Boston and Paul Sheard. 47 new cars will join the grid for 2010 with track space booked for a minimum of 60 cars with the BRSCC, all joining the wheel to wheel action looking for their inaugural MX5 wins in 2010. A full 20 race calendar over 9 rounds with entry fees from £295.00 per weekend, full televised coverage of every race, driver hospitality and all at no extra cost to the Driver.
Named the BRSCC flagship Championship of 2009, and currently with more registrations than most club racing Championship's, Drew Furlong the Competitions Director for the BRSCC commented; "The Ma5da MX5 Championship was a welcome addition to the BRSCC race calendar in 2009, and we look forward to their continuing success in British Motorsport through 2010."
Now confirmed as the platform of choice for MX5 drivers through the commitment, dedication and constant development of the series by the drivers it has gone from strength to strength. Renewed Championship status for 2010 will truly established Ma5da Racing as the home of MX-5 racing in 2010 and beyond. With large numbers of registrations, clear communication and substantial sponsorship the season is shaping up to be a revelation in British Club Motorsport. The 2010 provisional Calendar is already published and registrations opened on 1st December 2009.
