Now in its fifth year following a very successful 2011.
Split into three Groups the GT Cup Championship caters for cars up to GT3 pace and is open only to non 'pro' drivers.
Front runners are Porsche 997 GT3 and Ferrari 430 GTC in Group 1, Porsche 996 GT3 and Ferrari 360 GTC in Group 2 with FIA GT4 cars in Groups 3 depending on specification. BMW and Ginetta are a popular choice in Group 3 with Lotus, Morgan, TVR and Marcos also eligible and represented on the grid.
Hospitality in the GT Cup Championship is included with many meetings being run over two days with Free Practice and Qualifying on day 1 and three sprint races on day 2. Tight regulation ensure fair racing and a cap on the maximum performance and modification of cars being allowed to enter will keep things close.
