The PCBuyIT Coupe Cup is a cost and specification controlled race series for generation one and two Hyundai Coupes.
The cars run a number of control parts helping to ensure parity making it the ideal introduction to the world of racing. Also, the series 'Driver of the Year' in 2013 will take away the prize of a Dell Alienware laptop at the season's end courtesy of sponsor PCBuyIT!
The Coupes run a simple but proven package of control parts: A Safety Devices roll cage, AVO Coil over adjustable suspension, EBC brakes and Pipercross induction. Reliability is a great factor of the Hyundais, the car are strong and easy to maintain – just what the new racer needs. Help and advice is always close to hand from the series organisers or from the teams involved.
Road cars are available for around £500 meaning that you could build your own racer realistically for around £2500 or you could buy a turn-key, good to go race car for around £4000 from one of the series approved car builders.
The series will again, thanks to sponsors be running an incentive scheme for 2013 drivers who buy a new build, 'turn-key' race car. Your race entries for the calendar year will be discounted by £50 per round and also you will get £100 discount on your first set of Federal control tyres!
The ever-growing PCBuyIT Coupe Cup series currently runs with the Nippon Challenge grid and will soon be forming their own stand alone races. For more information, see www.coupecup.com or call 07714 291417 to find out further details…
