The Alfa Romeo Championship Association was established at the end of 2001 to run the BRSCCs Alfa Romeo Championship which in 2011 is in its 30th year. It remains one of the best supported series on the UK club racing scene, regularly attracting 60 registered drivers. The Championship visits most of the major British circuits and during 2011 will be going to Brands Hatch (including the GP circuit), Silverstone (new and old GP circuit), Oulton Park, Snetterton's new 300 circuit, Donington, Pembrey and Cadwell Park.
In 2006 ARCA welcomed a new series sponsor - Alfashop, the well known mail order parts specialists based in Norwich.
The Championship will be run in 6 classes in 2011, two for modified cars, two for production plus, a halfway-house class for cars with standard bodywork but modified mechanical specification and the new in 2006 back to basics class for Standard Production cars using the 2 litre 16 valve four cylinder in-line engine.
Class A1/A2: Modified
Class B: Production Modified up to 2500cc (plus Alfa turbo diesels)
Class C: Production 2001 - 3000cc
Class D: Production up to 2000cc
Class E: Standard Production up to 2 litre (16v 4 cylinder in-line)
Classes C,D & E run on TOYO control tyres.
